Mission-Arlington

Brother Aaron and wife, Ashely took 9 First Baptist Church Floresville youth to Arlington to work with a mission organization there locally .  They will be helping in a food pantry and moving some furniture, along with a list of other things.  Pray that they will serve the Lord with gladness and realize what a blessing it is to others and to themselves when they minister in His name.

Pray for wisdom for Aaron and Ashley as they lead this group of student missionaries.  Pray that they will have many opportunities to tell of God's love and saving grace to those who may not know Him.

Student Life 2010

This summer we took 32 youth to San Angelo for Student Life Camp 2010.  This camp also has a time set up for missions.  We separated into 3 groups and went to the Boys and Girls Club and two different community centers where our youth spent time interacting with the children that participate in these centers.  They were able to share God's love through words and actions.  They were a blessing to the kids they spent time with and a blessing for the adults, as we watched them serve others! Of course, at camp we had a lot of fun, great food (really!) and a wonderful time participating with other campers in worship.  The group got to know our new youth pastor, Aaron Coffey and his wife, Ashley a little better, too. Many youth were touched by the kids they ministered to, many came home with a new commitment to the Lord, and some even came to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior!
